The latest rumor . . .

Here's the latest SSPX rumor, picked up on Rorate Caeli and quickly translated, just two days after Bp. Fellay's election. Frankly, I don't believe it, but here it is all the same:

"Lefebvrists: the agreement is closer - The pact is ready, but Fellay has not yet decided" from Rome

[Il Giornale - report by Andrea Tornielli]

All is ready for the agreement between the Holy See and the Fraternity Saint Pius X, founded by the "rebel" Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. The Vatican forwarded several weeks ago precise propositions to reach peace [a peaceful solution] and the reentrance of the Lefbvrists into full communion with Rome.

I hope these rumors come true. I pray for my Traditional brothers I also pray for the lib’s to reconcile also.

I know that the lib’s/moderates already are winning and moaning about the Traditional Mass. I am sure it will get worse as the movement progresses. But what a sound will be made if some of the rumors about changes in the N.O. mass come true. Can you imagine the noise if Rome turns the Priest around? I am sure it will make the sound from the Kansas Speedway seam tame.

I've been snakebit once already.

A sure sign that a regularization is about to take place.... when The Holy Father actually cracks a few heads.

I'm talkin' mitred heads.

Yeah, notice that the rest of the Catholic press isn't taking the bait this time....

I'll believe it when I see it on EWTN.
